Note: The positions in the table above and in the Google Earth patrol summary are derived from the KTB and in many cases do not match those set forth in authoritative references such as Jürgen Rohwer, Axis Submarine Successes of World War Two or the Uboat.net website. The goal here is to present the picture relative to the U-boat and not the absolute position that the ship was attacked or sank. |

1. Report position, fuel and how far on the homeland is possible without supply. If the report does not get through, begin return transit to Penang.
2. It is assumed here that you cannot get through on Norddeich frequencies. Tonight or tomorrow night transmit on U-boat wavelength 7885 Khz in the period from 18.00 hours to 06.00 hours DGZ. Control call sign MMA transmits tuning signal for the first 5 minutes each hour.
3. U-boats in your area stand by to act as radio repeater.
4. In the case that you use Norddeich frequencies, Wavelength 8 is probably the most favorable. Homeland stations are alert for you.
