    2)  16.55 hours rammed during attack on destroyer aft of the bridge.
    Damage:  Main ballast tank 1, watertight stern initially out of service, both antennas torn, overdeck ripped open, rudder probably damaged.
    3)  Position ÄG 7673, set off to the west to unvestigate damage.  Starboard diesel already out of service 18 October due to shot camshaft bearing and supercharger drive.
    4)  Boat clear to dive all depths.
    5)  22.00 hours enemy moved off to the west.
